Centre Especialitzat en la Prevenció de Riscos
Laborals, SA is an independent body accredited by the Labour and Health
Authorities of the Catalan Administration with the lisence number SP/004/T for
the Catalan and Balearic territories. This accretidation qualifies us for
providing professional health and safety advice to companies in order to achieve
a suitable and aceptable level of adherence and conformity to the primary Acts
and regulations (art 31.3 of the Prevention of Risks at Work Act) :
The design, application and co-ordination of plans and programmes of preventive action.
The assessment of the risk factors which may affect the safety and health of workers pursuant to the terms laid down in Article 16 of this Act
The determination of priorities in the adoption of adequate preventive measures and surveillance of its efficiency.
The information and training of workers.
The provisión of first aid and emergency measures.
The health surveillance of workers in relation to the risks derived from work.
Our services consist of:
Occupational Health Surveillance examinations.
Technical projects for the development of Occupational Risk Prevention
Training.
2.1.-
Human Resources
We have personnel with
the necessary qualifications required by the Royal Decree 39/97 to be able to
perform the tasks in relation to Occupational Risk Prevention. Our technical
department has higher level professionals of all the different preventive
specialities (Safety, Hygiene, Ergonomics and Psychsociology) with previous
university studies of Architecture, Chemical Engineering, etc. As for our Health
Department Industrial Medicine physicians and advanced practice nurses, as well
as experts in applied Ergonomics and Psychosociology .
2.2.-
Equipment
Industrial Hygiene: Sound level meters, noise dosimeters, luxometers and some other environmental quality monitoring equipment.
Medical equipment for the Health control : audiometric booths, audiometers, electrocardiographs, spirometers, vision testers and blood pressure testers.
Training : The most modern sound and vision equipment to offer occupational safety and environmental training sessions.
2.3.-
Occupational Health Preventive disciplines
Occupational Hygiene:
Control of physical agents, including noise, vibration and ionizing radiation,
biological agents , chemical agents. Also includes the design and installation
of devices for workplace comfort (temperature, humidity and lightning) and other
similar activities.
Occupational Safety:
Includes preventive aspects in relation to
structural safety, fire protection, pressure containers, gas installations,
chemical substances, work equipment , lifting equipment, design of preventive
installations as well as any other aspects related to this preventive discipline.
Occupational Ergonomics:
Deals with all areas of
ergonomics including ergonomic assessment , workplace design for maximizing
safety and efficiency.
Occupational Medicine:
Health surveillance as
regulated in the sanitary normative and according Art 37.3 of the Preventive
Services Regulation (RD 39/97)
